Transoft Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Web Application Developer to join our technical team working out of our offices based in Bangalore, India.

About the Role

Under the general direction of our Traffic Engineer and in close collaboration with a cross functional team in Richmond, Canada, the Web Application Developer will be involved with the development, maintenance and operation of web based Traffic Engineering applications and components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive, design, develop, deploy and maintain our SaaS software products
  • Drive, design, develop, deploy and maintain our web server and web client components.
  • Work as a team with other Developers and IT to upkeep all web related information technology and software.
  • Assist IT (and Web Technician) in troubleshooting and resolving problems related to our website, applications and all other web components.

About You

You have the experience, drive and creativity in developing innovative and quality web-based products for a broad base of users. You want to work with a group of dedicated software professionals and get on board with a fast growing, leading edge and competitive software company.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A minimum bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related fields.
  • Expertise developing web based applications using:
    • ASP.NET, HTML5, CSS, Javascript and JQuery
    • MSSQL, MySQL, JSON and/or Mongo DB
    • Experience with other Web development technologies:
      • Flash, PHP, Silverlight, Google API, etc.
      • Working knowledge of OO principles, UML diagrams, UI design and software life cycle tools.
  • Familiar with Agile principles and methodology

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Self-motivated and driven to be successful in the work place and in life.
  • Communicate well with product management and other stakeholders with diverse backgrounds.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Maintain, improve and re-invent existing company products
  • Assist customer support, sales and marketing departments
  • Work within an agile software development process contribute to the improvement of that process
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders and be accountable to each other to achieve the project's vision.

ABOUT YOU
You have the experience, drive and creativity in developing innovative and quality software product for a broad base of users. You understand the principles of agile software development and can plan, design and implement features efficiently in a fast-paced work environment. You have a practical knowledge of object-oriented design and implementation. You have programmed C/C++ with AutoCAD, MicroStation, or other graphical platforms. You want to work with a group of dedicated software professionals and get on board with a fast growing, leading edge and competitive software company.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • You possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, engineering or related fields.
  • You have 3 or more years of experience in C/C++, .NET, C#, ASP.NET, SQL & MFC and WPF and 1 one or more years of experience in developing software for AutoCAD, MicroStation or other 3D graphical systems.
  • Your experience with Civil Engineering tools such as Civil 3D, Geopak or Inroads is an asset.
  • You have working knowledge of UML, UI design, database schema and software life cycle tools.
  • You have exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • You can communicate well with product management team members and other stakeholders with diverse background.
  • You are self-motivated and driven to be successful.

Quality Assurance Analyst

We currently have an opening for a Quality Assurance Analyst at our head office in Richmond, BC. As a member of the Development Services team, you will assist in developing test plans based on product specifications, run automatic and manual test cases, and be responsible for reporting defects found during testing.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Be proficient with Transoft Solution's products.
  • Report and log test statuses and results.
  • Participate in design process and develop test plan.
  • Establish program testing procedures.
  • Carry out testing of the product.
  • Maintain ‘Common Problem Log’ and FAQ list.
  • Assist in the reviewing of technical documents as required.
  • Produce and modify CAD drawings to conform to our development procedures.
  • Assist Technical Support with technical documentation when directed.

Civil Engineering Technologist

We currently have an opening for a Civil Engineering Technologist at our head office in Richmond, BC. Working with other members of the Product Management team, the Civil Engineering Technologist gets involved with researching new product ideas, creating new innovations, and delivering product presentations. Meet our customers virtually or face-to-face at tradeshows, industry conferences and in their offices – travel within North America and perhaps even other parts of the world.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Prepare and develop AutoCAD/Microstation drawings and product training material.
  •  Assist with prototype testing as proxy to users and document feedback.
  • Liaise with users prior, during and after product launch, including alpha and beta test phases.
  • Provide product training and demonstrations to both internal and external clients, onsite and through webcasts.
  • Perform technical research tasks including reviewing of guidelines, research papers, and journals.
